Julie Benes is the General Counsel and oversees all legal and compliance activities for TWFG. Before joining TWFG, Julie was an attorney with CKR Law, LLP, representing TWFG and other businesses in commercial litigation involving business dissolutions, theft of trade secrets, enforcement of non-competition agreements, and breaches of contracts. Julie earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2004 and her B.S. and B.A. degrees from Boston University in 1999.

Julie is an active volunteer in her church and her community. She serves on the Board of Klein Independent School District and is a member of the Literacy and Teach Texas committees of the Houston Bar Association Lawyers. Julie and her husband, Edward Benes, have three children, and enjoy spending time outdoors.
